Results, privacy and consultations

Everlywell

Results
Results go to your secure Everlywell account, with an email when ready. Mailed kits: typically within 5–7 business days of the lab processing the sample. In-person Quest panels: typically 1–2 days. OraQuick is read at home in about 20 minutes; Visby results come through its app in about 30 minutes.
Privacy
Home kits ship with only a shipping label and no test name. Everlywell says it never sells health data and does not share results with other healthcare providers or insurance companies. Positive results for reportable infections are reported to public health as required by law, even when the test is ordered online.
Physician consultation
Tests are ordered and results reviewed by an independent physician network. For positive chlamydia, gonorrhea or trichomoniasis results, a clinician treatment consult is included at no extra cost; for hepatitis C or syphilis it is an educational session without treatment. In-person tests include a clinician consultation and treatment where applicable. Medication cost is not stated.

LetsGetChecked

Results
Results are posted to your secure online account and app about 2–5 days after your sample arrives at the lab. Samples must be collected on a weekday morning and shipped the same day.
Privacy
Kits arrive in a plain envelope with no LetsGetChecked branding visible. The company says it shares information only where needed to provide its services or where it has a legal basis. Positive results for reportable infections are reported to public health as required by law, even when the test is ordered online.
Physician consultation
A clinician reviews results, and people with positive results get a call from the clinical team. Treatment (for chlamydia, and on the larger panels trichomoniasis and Mycoplasma) needs a paid virtual consultation, and medication costs extra. Not available in AK, DC, GA, IN, KS, MS, NM or WV. Gonorrhea is not treated; it needs an injection from a local provider.
