STD Test Prices

We may earn a commission when you order through links on this site. How we make money

About this site

Affiliate disclosure

In short. We may earn a commission when you buy a test after clicking a link on this site. We don't add a fee to your purchase. Commissions don't decide which providers we show or the order we show them in.

How we earn money

Some testing providers run affiliate programs, usually through affiliate networks such as CJ, FlexOffers or Impact. When you click one of our links to such a provider and then buy a test, the provider may pay us a commission. That's how we pay for running this site.

Other providers don't have an affiliate program with us. We include them anyway, with the same information and the same ranking rules, because a price comparison is only useful if it's complete.

What commissions don't affect

  • Which providers appear. We include US providers that sell STD tests directly to consumers and publish prices, whether or not they pay us.
  • The ranking. The default order is by price for each provider's most comprehensive full panel. Our methodology explains the exact rules.
  • What we write. Providers can't pay for coverage, placement or wording.

Links to providers go through a short redirect on our own site, at an address that starts with /go/. When you click one, we record the click and send you straight on to the provider. The record tells us which provider, offer and page the click came from. It doesn't include your IP address or set a tracking cookie on our site. Our privacy policy lists every field we record.

If the provider has an affiliate program, the redirect adds our affiliate code to the provider's address so the provider can credit us. The provider or its affiliate network may then use its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.

Every provider link on this site is marked as sponsored for search engines, whether or not that provider pays us.

Why we tell you

The Federal Trade Commission says websites should clearly disclose when they earn commissions from links, so readers can decide how much weight to give a recommendation. That's why a short disclosure appears near the top of every page, and why this page exists.
